Stockport County mascot, Vernon Bear, was joined by representatives from the Vernon Building Society and County star, Festus Arthur, for a photoshoot at Edgeley Park to show off his new look.
Vernon Building Society’s recent rebrand sparked the changes to Vernon Bear’s kit. The rebrand has given a modern fresh look to the independent building society, and the change has made a big impact across its six branch locations across Stockport. The new branding has also been added to the Vernon Community Stand and Edgeley Park and the pitch side advertising.
Alex Deakin, the Society’s Marketing Manager said:
“Rebranding the Society has been about so much more than just a new look. We’ve clarified our mission to be Stockport’s first choice for mortgages, savings and employment and we see our values reflected in the football club, particularly in that we both have an authentic and personal approach. Like County, we’ve been part of the Stockport landscape for many years and it’s right that the building society and the club continue to support each other.”
The Vernon Building Society was formed in 1924 and it’s new branding will see it through its centenary year. The Society has undertaken a significant investment program into its people, premises and systems over recent years to ensure that it continues to grow and remains relevant for years to come.
