Life Leisure is the trading name for Stockport Active CIC which is a Community Interest Company, formed in 2021, and is wholly owned by Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council. As a CIC, Life Leisure’s emphasis is to provide high quality leisure facilities and programmes across the borough. Being a CIC means that all revenue generated is reinvested back into services and the wider community, the company exists to benefit the local community in Stockport.
Life Leisure are focused on promoting its facilities and sport and leisure to families and individuals of all ages and backgrounds. It operate a social inclusive approach to ensure equality of opportunity for all and it openly values diversity so that everyone can enjoy the benefits of participating in sports and leisure activities.
Over the past 20 years, Life Leisure has reached and impacted local communities both within the Stockport boundary and further afield and has had an immense impact on tens of thousands of individuals as it works to improve their lives for the better.
