TUI is to offer the UK’s only direct flight to Luxor, Egypt, for holidaymakers travelling from Manchester Airport from Winter 2024.
The new route forms part of TUI’s recent capacity increase across Red Sea destinations in Egypt ahead of the travel operator beginning sales for the Winter 2024 travel season for 1000s of resorts and 40 destinations.
Among the holiday packages going on sale is a new River Nile cruise serviced by TUI charter flights from Manchester and London Gatwick Airports weekly on Thursdays from 7th November 2024 – 24th April 2025. The itinerary will take in some of Egypt’s most famous ancient sights sailing between Luxor and Aswan with Egyptologists onboard for expert insights.
Those who prefer to stay on dry land can select from a range of iconic hotels all perfectly positioned on the banks of the River Nile and most within walking distance of Luxor city centre – dubbed the greatest open-air museum in the world.
TUI customers flying from Manchester can also benefit from extra weekly flights from Manchester Airport to the Red Sea resorts of Sharm El Sheik (five flights weekly) and Hurghada (four flights weekly).
Richard Sofer, Commercial Director for TUI UK, commented:
“We’re delighted to have an incredible range of holidays on sale today with the low deposits and direct debit options we know are so important in helping customers plan and budget. With exciting new additions in Egypt, a multitude of beach and city hotels available from the Canaries to the Caribbean – whatever kind of getaway Manchester Airport customers are after they’ll find it with TUI.”
Robert Smith, Aviation Director at Manchester Airport, added:
“It is fantastic to see the addition of a Luxor service as part of Tui’s Winter 2024 programme. It’s a brand-new destination for Manchester Airport and one we are sure will prove extremely popular with passengers.
“As the UK’s global gateway in the North, we help connect passengers to more destinations than any other British airport outside London, and the sheer variety of winter sun hotspots on offer with TUI next winter means passengers in our region travelling from Manchester will have unparalleled choice.”
