Specialist lender, Together, has been named Alternative Finance Provider of the Year, following a ceremony at Manchester Central last night for the Insider Dealmakers Awards beating off stiff competition from both mainstream and specialist finance providers.
The accolade crowns a phenomenal year for the company, with Together more than doubling its new lending to over £724 million, up from £350 million the previous year, with a loan book currently standing at £1.4 billion.
Speaking of the win, Marc Goldberg, board director of Together, commented,
“We’re absolutely thrilled to receive this award. We’ve been an established specialist lender for over 40 years but with our new brand, we want to ensure we’re more visible and recognisable, and winning this is a fantastic achievement and affirms our status within the industry.”
The three dealmakers who represented Together in the category were board director Marc Goldberg, commercial director Chris Baguley and sales director Gary Bailey, with deals which ranged in size from £650K with Enness Private Clients, up to £5 million for an undisclosed client, completed in 10 days.
The deals highlighted Together’s key propositions of speed and flexibility, which have earned the company a reputation amongst the business community as the go-to alternative finance provider.
In one instance, a client had been let down by a previous lender and required £4.34 million to complete a commercial acquisition. Together stepped in and was able to arrange the funds within just three days.
Marc explained, “We take a common sense approach to lending and can react quickly, which is essential in cases such as this where timescales are extremely tight, so we’re very happy to be acknowledged as the leader in our field.”
Other companies shortlisted included Barclays Bank, Santander, Close Brothers and Shawbrook Business Credit.
