“It’s a popular event and there were 150 people alone in our group. Thankfully the weather was reasonably kind and although it was blustery at the summits with the odd shower we were very fortunate. All three dogs were very popular with other participants and added something different to the three Yorkshire peaks, especially Zante as people spoke in amazement at her endurance on the 6 mile decent from Ingleboroughs summit, ” added Nick, a Director at Stockport-based company Leemic which supplies photocopiers and printers.
The firm want to raise £16,000 eventually which is the amount it
costs to run St Ann’s Hospice for one day. The Pendleburys,
together with their dogs, will be collecting donations at Stockport
County’s home match against Leamington on Saturday (Sept 14).
“The club has been extremely supportive of our fundraising efforts
as have local radio station Pure 107.8 and the fundraising team at
St Anns. Even producing special St Anns T-shirts for the dogs.
We are a Stockport based company and are proud to be supporting
a Stockport based charity. It’s a great feeling to be able to join
forces with other local company’s and raise awareness”
We’ve not decided on our next challenge yet but we want it to be something a little bit different, like taking three Yorkshire terriers on the Yorkshire Three Peaks.”
