Manchester Airports Group (MAG) saw continued growth in passenger numbers across its three airports in February thanks to strong half-term.
The group – which operates Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands Airports – served 66.3 million passengers across the rolling 12-month period, a 2.1% increase on the same period last year.
Manchester Airport handled 2.1 million passengers across the month, an increase of 2.3% year-on-year. Its 12-month rolling passenger total stood at 32.2 million – up 3.8% on the same period in 2025.
London Stansted Airport’s annual passenger total also remained above 30 million, this month up 1.0% on 2025, although with 2 million passengers served in February, a slight year-on-year decrease on February 2025. East Midlands Airport welcomed more than 138,000 passengers, with a 12-month rolling passenger total of more than 3.9 million.
Operational performance also remained strong across all three airports ensuring passengers a smooth airport experience during the half-term period. At East Midlands, 100% of passengers passed through security in 15 minutes or less. At Manchester Airport and London Stansted, the figure was 99%.
Continued growth in passenger numbers at Manchester Airport comes as the North’s international gateway completes its £1.3 billion transformation of Terminal 2, and closes Terminal 1 as a revamp of Terminal 3 gets underway.
