Members of the public in Stockport and across Greater Manchester have a chance to show their thanks by nominating health champions who have gone above and beyond in their care.
The Greater Manchester Health and Care Champions Awards are held to reward health and care workers across the region who have done an outstanding job. In Stockport this could include anyone working in health and care in the community, or any of the many staff and volunteers working at Stepping Hill Hospital.
The awards are organised by NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care, with support from the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham.
The awards are open to all individuals or teams, paid or unpaid, who work in the health or care sector in Greater Manchester or through broader work to help improve the health and wellbeing of others. Last year’s winner included a paediatrics consultant, a Rising Star care coordinator, and a barber from Bolton, who took home the Community Champion Award.
Nominations across the 14 categories are now open and the deadline for making submissions is 15th March 2024.
