Automation technology manufacturer, BFT Automation, has completed an investment in larger and improved training facilities for installers at its Stockport site, and at newly acquired premises in Swindon.
The investment in modern training facilities follows the expansion of the company’s Stockport site, which now serves as a centralised distribution hub for BFT UK and BFT Nordic orders, streamlining operations and ensuring next-day delivery for customers.
The BFT Training Academy in Stockport now features state-of-the-art spaces designed by BFT– enabling installers to benefit from enhanced hands-on learning and product demonstrations. The new facilities showcase a wider range of products and accommodate more participants, with courses available from entry level through to advanced. This development reflects BFT Automation’s ongoing commitment to supporting the professional development of installers and raising industry standards.
Commenting on the new training facilities, James Downey, UK Training Manager at BFT Automation, said:
“This investment marks an important milestone for BFT. The new training facilities are designed to support installers, giving us the space to demonstrate a wider range of products and deliver hands-on training across all skill levels. We are keen to support our installer community at every stage of their career.”
Paul Williams, installer and owner of Andy’s Doors and Gates Ltd Jersey, said of the new training facility in Stockport:
“The BFT Stockport training facility offers clear, hands-on instruction and up-to-date equipment that makes learning straightforward and relevant to real installation challenges. The supportive staff and well-organised courses helped me gain valuable skills quickly.”
Elsewhere in the business’ UK operations, BFT has moved to a larger office in Swindon, expanding its workspace in the town to over 6,000 sq ft.
