Two champions of family-run businesses from Stockport will take part in events as part of the Institute for Family Business’ (IFB) Family Business Week.
Christian Mancier of Gorvins Solicitors and William Robinson of Robinsons Brewery will both take part in a panel discussion, ‘What’s next for family businesses in the North?’
Taking place on the 3rd of November from 4-5 pm, the online event is free for all and is a great opportunity to learn and have your say on the future of Northern family businesses. The panellists will be discussing what more could be done to support local family businesses and how they can plan to be successful for generations to come.
As head of the Gorvins Family Business department, Christian Mancier provides the specialist legal support family businesses need, all delivered with the empathy and understanding required for the job. Of the event, he said,
“In many ways, family businesses are the backbone of the UK economy. They not only provide vital services but enrich our communities. I look forward to the panel discussion and hope we can shed light on how Northern family businesses can future-proof themselves and thrive throughout the generations.”
In his role as head of one of the North West’s best breweries and pub operators, Robinsons Brewery, William Robinson knows more than most about how to run a successful family business. He said,
“Our family business has been around since 1838 so we know what it takes to achieve longevity. The panel discussion is a great opportunity for us to share our insight and to hear the views of others on how we can all approach the future with positivity.”
