The Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) is working with councils and employers across the region to help young people raise their career aspirations for the future.
Positive encounters with employers can make all the difference to the future career aspiration and skill set of Greater Manchester’s children and young people. GMCA and local authorities in the city-region are looking for businesses to work together with them to provide providing a range of engaging activities and work placements to support children and young people to have a better awareness about the world of work and inspire future career ambitions.
Stockport employers can get involved in a number of ways, which also have the benefit of demonstrating their social value contributions, such as:
- Working with a local primary school to provide a positive employer encounter
- Supporting a young person by providing a T-Level work placement
