Stockport County will raise valuable funds for local charity, Transport for Sick Children, as the Hatters host Stevenage at Edgeley Park on 13th May for the second-leg of their League One Play-Off challenge.
Transport for Sick Children is a children’s transport charity based in Reddish, Stockport, and has been supporting families for nearly 50 years. The charity’s team of volunteer drivers use their own vehicles to transport accompanied children to vital medical appointments. They support families across Greater Manchester who may struggle to attend appointments due to a lack of transport or other challenging circumstances.
One healthcare referrer commented:
“Thank you so much for your help with the families I support. It is hugely appreciated and really makes a difference to families who have struggled and often had a difficult time.”
Charity collectors will be carrying out a bucket collection around Edgeley Park prior to the match and again at half time to collect donations from fans for the organisation.
Any donations made on the night will make a real difference and will go directly towards helping more children in Stockport and the surrounding areas attend essential medical appointments. If those attending the game are able to give, any contribution would be greatly appreciated, and the club and charity thank supporters in advance for their generosity.
