Stockport County has launched the club’s first dedicated mobile app, bringing news, video, fixtures and live matchday coverage a couple of taps away for supporters.
The app has been developed in partnership with the club’s Digital Partner, Urban Zoo, and launched Friday 14th August on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store in time for the club’s upcoming match against Plymouth Argyle.
Every County team is covered, and fixtures, results and league tables run across the Men’s, Women’s, U21 and U18 sides. For Men’s first-team fixtures, the dedicated ‘Match Centre’ also brings live stats and updates as the game unfolds, with a countdown to kick-off on the home screen.
County TV will also allow supporters to stream live coverage, catch up on match highlights and watch full match replays in the app or by casting them to a Smart TV.
Digital Content Manager at Stockport County, Carl Gozem, said:
“A dedicated Stockport County app is something we’ve been wanting to launch for a number of seasons now. Thanks to our Digital Partner, Urban Zoo, we’ve been able to collaborate and bring the idea to life.?
“It opens up a new way for supporters to engage with us as a club. Whether you’re in the Cheadle End every other Saturday or following from afar, the app gives you live updates, stats, articles and access to features that bring you closer to the action.
“We look forward to continuing our work alongside Urban Zoo to continue to enhance the experience and offering, and users will play a big part in shaping that.”
The club will continue to develop the app across the season ahead, and supporter feedback will play a big part in shaping what comes next.
