Stockport businesses are invited to learn key fundamentals of cyber security at an interactive session, Building Cyber Resilience – One Brick At A Time, at Stockport College.
Taking place on Wednesday 27th November from 9.30am to 1.30pm, the session will help attendees understand how to protect business and customer data from online threats.
In an increasingly interconnected world, where technology plays an integral role in our daily lives, cyber security awareness has become more vital than ever before. In your roles, you have the unique opportunity to empower individuals in your community with the knowledge and tools to stay safe online.
Trafford & Stockport College Group is partnering with DiSH Manchester and Lancaster University to run the workshop, which is designed to cater to all skill levels to allow attendees to become an effective cyber security advocate in their workplace.
The Cyber Fundamentals Course on offered as part of the workshop will cover:

- Cyber Threats
- The Evolution of Phishing
- Multi Factor Authentication
- Firewalls
- Mobile Devices
- Cyber Attackers
- Resilience
The session will also conclude with a Cyber Security Lego Game, exploring the world of cyber security through the lens of Lego, where every brick represents a crucial decision in a business’ quest for success.
