Stockport-based electrical wholesaler, LED (Lancashire Electrical Distributors Ltd), is marking 40 years of business with ambitious plans to strengthen its sustainable and social housing expertise and diversify the product range.
This next phase for LED is being spearheaded by new leadership, who since joining the business in April 2023 have overseen LED’s largest annual sales record to date, with 30% growth on the previous year’s sales. New Directors Daniel Kilroe and Rachel Kilroe, who come from Business Recovery and Retail backgrounds, are working closely with MD Peter Anthony who has been at the company for 38 years.
The business’ new ESG strategy includes the launch of ‘LED ECO Supplies’ to support businesses and housing projects to achieve the Net Zero by 2050 goal. The service offers energy efficient advice on renewable and energy-efficient products , such as LED lighting, Solar, EV Charging, Heating, Draught Proofing Strips, Ventilation & Damp Detection.
Manchester-born Directors Daniel and Rachel Kilroe want ‘LED ECO Supplies’ to play a role in the conscious development and sustainable growth of the North West, being spearheaded by the city’s Places for Everyone plan. LED is currently providing energy efficient electricals for a large social housing trust in the city and plans to continue partnering on new social housing projects and retrofitting of existing developments.
As well as investing in a recent rebrand, increased digital marketing presence and diversifying its product portfolio to include PPE from Portwest, LED has significantly grown its customer base, including new projects with property groups Downing and Cara Group.
