Business technology provider, Sharp, has announced the launch of a new range of environmentally conscious colour printers and MFPs.
The BP-C131WD A4 Colour MFP and the BP-C131PW A4 Colour printer have a compact design that combines robust security and improved environmental credentials to meet the needs of modern workplaces. Security features includes data encryption and erasure, user authentication, and remote firmware updates.
Models have been built with up to 50% recycled plastic, and are supplied with fully recyclable cardboard packaging. Additionally, advanced fusing technology ensures the devices offer the best power consumption in their class, helping businesses reduce their overall environmental footprint.
The Sharp BP-C131WD and BP-C131PW printers have also been awarded the 2024 Good Design Award for their exceptional design and sustainability efforts. The award recognises the A4 colour MFP/printer series as the world’s smallest footprint in its class (410 mm by 410 mm), noting its compact, integrated design and environmentally conscious materials.
Ben Lake, Senior Product Manager for MFP and Printer Products, Sharp Europe, said:
“We recognise the changing needs of organisations, including an increasing focus on sustainability. Our new A4 devices are compact, secure and environmentally responsible, meeting the needs of modern workplaces.
“By incorporating recycled materials, reducing energy consumption and delivering powerful functionality in a small footprint, we’re enabling organisations to meet their environmental goals without compromising on workplace productivity.”
