
Sector 3, Stockport’s local infrastructure support organisation for the Voluntary, Community, Faith-based and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector, is recruiting new trustees to help guide the charity through its next phase of development.
Following a recent independent survey of local VCFSE organisations, several key challenges were identified: the need for sustainable and diverse income streams, the recruitment of the next generation of volunteers, and limited staff capacity. In response, Sector 3 is expanding its team and strengthening its strategic direction to meet these challenges head on.
With new funding secured and a sustainable growth plan in place, this is a pivotal moment for the organisation. Sector 3 is seeking individuals who are passionate about community development and committed to championing a strong, resilient VCFSE sector that empowers Stockport residents to thrive.

You’ll be part of an organisation that puts community first, led by the sector, for the sector. Established in 2019, Sector 3 have steadily grown over the last 6 years, from a team of two staff to 10 and are currently actively recruiting to expand their team and services further.
The organisation have built a strong track record with 76% of respondents from the independent survey indicating they would recommend. This is an excellent opportunity to add further impact as they enter their next phase.
