Stockport and Cheshire law firm, SAS Daniels, has raised over £5,000 for Contact Hostel in just eight months, already exceeding the total raised for its 2025 Charity of the Year.
The firm’s teams across all four office locations have taken on a packed programme of daring, creative and community-focused challenges throughout 2026, with several fundraising events still to come before the end of the year.
SAS Daniels colleagues have put themselves through their paces in all weathers as part of rigorous training for major sporting events, including the London Marathon and Manchester 10K, while others took fundraising to new heights with an abseil from the Trafford Centre Palazzo tower.

SAS Daniels is now looking ahead to hosting further fundraising activities planned for the remainder of 2026. These include a Connect Four tournament, readathon, Halloween bake sale, table tennis tournament, product donations and the firm’s annual Christmas raffle.
Contact Hostel provides accommodation and practical support for homeless teenage girls, helping young women who have experienced significant challenges to move towards safer, more secure and happier futures. The charity has supported nearly 1,000 young women to date.
Helen Gazard, fundraising lead at Contact Hostel, said,
“It has been fantastic to see the enthusiasm and commitment from everyone at SAS Daniels. To have already surpassed the amount raised for their 2025 Charity of the Year, with several months of fundraising still to come, is a huge achievement. The support will make a real difference to the young women we work with, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone at SAS Daniels for getting behind Contact Hostel so wholeheartedly.”
Shanae Byrne, conveyancing assistant at SAS Daniels, has a personal connection to Contact Hostel, having previously lived at the charity. She said:
“It is amazing to see how much has already been raised for Contact Hostel. Having experienced the support that the charity provides first-hand, I know how important Contact Hostel is and the difference it can make to young women’s lives. I’m incredibly proud to be part of a team that is giving so much time and energy to a cause that means a great deal to me personally.”
Justine Clowes, managing partner and business owner at SAS Daniels, added,
“We are incredibly proud of what our colleagues have achieved so far for Contact Hostel. Surpassing last year’s annual fundraising total is a fantastic milestone, and is testament to the enthusiasm, generosity and determination of our people to keep on giving.
“However, we’re not stopping there. We have a number of fundraising events still to come, and colleagues are continuing to find new and creative ways to support Contact Hostel. We’re looking forward to seeing how much more we can raise by the end of the year and, most importantly, knowing that our efforts are helping Contact provide vital support to young women when they need it most.”
