Fans of the iconic Robinsons Brewery Shire Horses are invited to an unforgettable family weekend at the Davenport Arms, Woodford, where (for the first time ever) all of the brewery’s Shire Horses will be together in one place.
Taking place on Saturday 1st August and Sunday 2nd August from 10am to 3pm, the two-day event offers horse lovers a rare opportunity to get up close to Robinsons’ famous Shire Horses, including Mojo, Challenger, Hattie, Dilly and her foal Josephine.
The two-day event promises plenty to see and do, with a packed programme of demonstrations and activities. Visitors can enjoy a live harnessing demonstration, watch Mojo and Challenger pull the traditional Robinsons Brewery dray (pictured), and meet the horses as they are turned out to relax in the fields. Throughout the afternoon, Robinsons’ Shire Horse team, Leilah and Asa, will also be around to answer questions about the brewery’s famous horses.
Alongside the demonstrations, guests can enjoy a BBQ, relax in the Davenport Arms’ spacious beer garden and soak up a great atmosphere with family and friends. Whether you’ve followed the Shire Horses for years or are meeting them for the very first time, this weekend promises an experience to remember.
