Stockport family-run brewers, Robinsons Brewery, has launched its first all-female collaboration beer for International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day (IWCBD), which took place on 8th March 2026.
2026 is the first year the brewer has taken part in IWCBD, and has marked the occasion with the launch of a new seasonal beer, EmpowHer.
EmpowHer is a 4.4% beer that has been created entirely through collaboration. Women from across the business came together to shape every part of the beer, from the flavour and style through to its name, description and visual identity. It was important to Robinsons Brewery that this was a genuinely collective project, with voices from different teams involved at every stage.
The name EmpowHer was chosen following an internal vote, with almost 50 submissions put forward. The beer itself features peach notes and has been developed through in?house testing by our brewing and quality teams.
International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day takes place annually around International Women’s Day and is organised by Women On Tap CIC, in partnership with SIBA, the Society of Independent Brewers and Associates. The campaign brings breweries together across the world to collaborate on beers that celebrate the contribution of women within the beer industry, while helping to create more inclusive and welcoming beer spaces.
As part of our involvement in IWCBD, Robinsons Brewery will also be contributing to women?led not?for?profit organisations, with the causes chosen by the team as part of the wider campaign.
The launch of EmpowHer also connects Robinonsons with breweries across the UK and beyond who are taking part in International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day, all brewing in support of the same global initiative.
