Construction firm Pochin has been appointed by Stockport Council to develop a £1.1m scheme on Didsbury Road in Stockport.
The regeneration project will replace the derelict Four Heatons pub with a 3,900 sq ft retail unit to be fitted out as a food store and eight apartments, due to complete in the winter this year.
Pochin have also been appointed by Merepark Homes to convert office space to residential in Victoria Street, Altrincham.
Jonathan Pochin, managing director at Pochin Construction, said:
“UK construction is enjoying a welcome return to growth, with a remarkable resurgence in construction nationwide.
“We’re delighted to be providing our services and professional insight into the projects in Stockport and Altrincham, with each requiring its own unique strategy and specialised capabilities.
“We’re looking forward to achieving high quality final results for each development and some further bright prospects for Pochin in the second half of the year.”
