Park Road, home of Cheadle Town FC, will become the new home of Stockport County Women as part of the continued development of women’s football in the town.
The move follows the recent acquisition of Cheadle Town FC by Stott Capital Sports Investments (SCSI), owned by Stockport County owner, Mark Stott. As part of the acquisition, the club’s Park Road grounds will become the new home of Stockport County Women following its launch earlier this year.
While participation in the women’s game is seeing unprecedented growth across all age groups nationally, a lack of fit-for-purpose facilities remains a major barrier to its continued development. Investment in Park Road will help create a high quality, accessible environment for players, coaches and the wider community, while supporting SCSI’s ambitions for creating a central hub for women’s and girls’ football in Stockport for future generations.

Alongside hosting Stockport County Women, Park Road will continue to be home to Cheadle Town FC Men’s Team, alongside the club’s education programme and junior grassroots teams.
