Millie’s Trust have celebrated training their 20,000th student in first aid since the charity held their first course.
The 20,000th attendee was surprised on the course by Millie’s mum and CEO, Joanne Thompson with a Millie’s Trust goody bag and a donated cake for the attendees to share.
Joanne of Millie’s Trust said:
“We are astonished to have trained 20,000 people since we started Millie’s Trust, we honestly thought the charity would train a few people a year, this figure shows the demand in our courses and the fantastic reputation that Millie’s Trust now has for our training.”
A recent review:
“I have had the absolute pleasure of completing the paediatric first aid training provided by Millie’s Trust. This was through my place of work, CHPS. This was over two full days. Our trainer was a gem, he put everyone at ease whilst ensuring the important message and information was delivered in a factual way”
Millie’s Trust was created by the parents of Millie Thompson who tragically passed away in a choking incident in October 2012.
“As parents of a child ourselves we believe that everyone should have access to First Aid Training no matter what their situation in life is. We aim to make First Aid training readily available for minimal costs and in as many places as possible.”
