Stockport healthcare provider, Mastercall, has won the ‘Best Use of Technology’ award at this year’s annual Urgent Health UK (UHUK) conference.
The conference took place in Chester on the 6th and 7th october, and saw the Stockport business’ Technology Enhanced Living (TEL) service recognised for how it helps patients in the borough take charge over their own care.
Mastercall’s TEL team earned the ‘Best Use of Technology’ accolade for their work setting up a virtual ward and hospital at home service in Stockport.
Since Mastercall first piloted the it in 2019, the TEL service has been highly successful in not only reducing hospital admissions (66% admission avoidance) but also helping empower patients to manage their own health.
The TEL service uses cutting edge technology from Norwegian tech firm, Dignio, to monitor patients’ vital signs using Bluetooth technology. In the event that a patient’s normal vital signs parameters are breached we are sent an alert, in real time, and can provide a proactive response to ensure the patient is managed as clinically indicated.
The UHUK award win is the lastest in a string of accolades for Mastercall and the TEL team, including a shortlisting at the HSJ Partnership Awards earlier this year for its collaboration with Dignio and local authorities.
