With the World Cup and Wimbledon serving as inspiration for many, Life Leisure is hoping to encourage people in Stockport to try something new, discover a sport they love, socialise, and get active with a new summer campaign.
Whether people are looking to get back into exercise, keep the kids active over the holidays, try something new with friends, or simply discover what’s available in their local area, Life Leisure’s Find Your Sport campaign looks to highlight how there’s more sport on your doorstep than you might think.
‘Sports’ doesn’t just apply to your typical ball games. It covers a whole range of activities such as weightlifting, running, swimming, dancing, boxing and much more. So, if you haven’t found your sport yet, chances are you just haven’t tried them all, suggests Life Leisure.
To help people see sport in a new light and guide them to finding the one that’s right for them, Life Leisure have published a short blog post to highlight the different options available in Stockport, from racquet and ball sports to gym-based and water sports, as well as budget friendly options. Find out more here.
Life Leisure is also involved in a number of events around Stockport this summer as part of the campaign, after kicking off the season by leading the warm-up at Race for Life in Woodbank Park on Sunday 7th June. Upcoming events (with more yet to be announced) include:
