Stockport based retail group, Parfetts has promoted Leona Starzec to a key account manager to support the growth of its off-license symbol fascia, The Local.
Leona (pictured) joined Parfetts in August 2023, and her hard work in supporting retailers is recognised in the promotion. She will report to John O’Neill, retail sales controller.
Commenting on the appointment, Steve Moore, head of retail at Parfetts, said:
“Leona brings a wealth of experience in the off-licence sector, and we’re confident that she will provide industry-leading levels of support for our current retailers. She is passionate about the industry and will help new retailers benefit from the flexible and margin-focused service offered by The Local.”
Leona will support retailers in crucial areas, such as category advice and consumer missions, to drive sales and profit for retailers. The network has grown strongly over the past 12 months by attracting retailers from other fascias.
Parfetts launched The Local to sit alongside its fast-growing Go Local symbol group. The model offers the same simplicity that has helped Go Local become one of the fastest-growing symbol groups in the UK. All retailers in The Local fascia benefit from a 2% rebate, free delivery and regular promotional offers across a wide range of beers, wines and spirits.
Leona Starzec, said:
“Parfetts has worked closely with the off-licence sector to develop a fascia that is aligned to their needs and gives shoppers the choice and value they need. I’ve seen a huge amount of interest since I joined the company, and I look forward to helping the fascia go from strength to strength.”
