Half-day event to support Stockport businesses to trade internationally

Stockport businesses are invited to a free event to gain practical insight into starting to trade internationally and growing sales overseas.

Hosted by GM Business Growth Hub in partnership with Stockport Council, From Local to Global: Why Exporting Matters will bring together exporters, trade specialists and business support organisations to provide practical insight into international growth.

The session will take place on Thursday 24th September at the Robinsons Brewery Visitor Centre in Stockport town centre from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

Attendees will hear from experienced exporters who will share their real-world experiences, lessons learnt and successes in overseas markets. The event will also provide an overview of current trade opportunities and showcase the support available to help businesses start, strengthen or accelerate their export journey.

The programme includes speakers and panel discussions featuring representatives from GM Business Growth Hub, the Department for Business and Trade (DBT), UK Export Finance (UKEF), Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce (GMCC), successful local exporters and other key partners.
