Stockport-based law firm, Gorvins Solicitors, has announced Stockport County Community Trust has been chosen as its charity of the year.
Each year, Gorvins selects a charity for whom they raise funds through a range of activities. This year the Community Trust will benefit from their fundraising efforts, which will help the Trust support vulnerable individuals, families and young people across Stockport.
Gorvins, who already has a partnership with the club through their sponsorship of the Gorvins Lounge, will be working with the Trust on an exciting fundraising event, due to be held in September with more details being announced shortly.
Mark Deverell, Managing Partner at Gorvins, said:
“Charity and community engagement are very important to all of us at Gorvins Solicitors and recognising this by supporting a Stockport cause and charity right on our doorstep is immensely pleasing.
“We are incredibly proud of our Stockport roots, and it therefore made sense to support the Community Trust, a charity on our doorstep whose work improves lives across the borough. We’ve enjoyed being sponsors of the Club and this partnership with the Trust is a natural next step”.
Alison Warwood, CEO Stockport County Community Trust said:
“We’re delighted to be partnering with Gorvins as their Charity of the Year. Our values align perfectly and their support will make a huge difference to the work that the Trust carries out. We’re excited to be working together over the next 12 months to make a positive impact on our community.”
