Stockport-based Gorvins Solicitors has strengthened the business with the appointment of two partners and a senior associate.
With collective experience spanning almost 80 years, Julian Bond, Jonathan Booth (pictured right), and Rebecca Muirhead (left), have joined the Corporate & commercial, Litigation and Family teams respectively. Jonathan and Julian have been appointed as partners.
Qualified for almost 40 years, Julian has acted for owner-managed businesses for most of his career and has a particular expertise in drafting bespoke commercial contracts and negotiating complex mergers and acquisitions. With clients ranging from start-ups to large organisations with turnover in excess of £50 million, Julian has a particular penchant for food, transport, construction, manufacturing and leisure businesses.
Jonathan Booth started his legal career in 2006 and has vast experience in complex injury claims. With a background in insurance disputes, his specialisms are general commercial and shareholder & partnership disputes.
Senior associate Rebecca qualified in 2010, specialises in all aspects of family law and is particularly skilled in helping neurodivergent people thanks to specialist training with the National Autistic Society. A highly-respected lawyer, Rebecca ranked as a rising star in the inaugural 2024 Doyles Guide to Family Law and was highlighted as a key lawyer in the 2026 Legal 500.
Mark Deverell, managing partner at Gorvins Solicitors, said:
“Julian, Jonathan and Rebecca have a wealth of experience in their respective fields and will not only add copious amounts of knowledge to the business, but also provide an abundance of learning opportunities for our growing talent pool.
“A company is nothing without its people and we’re very pleased to have this ‘tremendous trio’ on board.”
