Work on Aurora, Stockport’s newest industrial park has reached a major milestone as the steelwork starts going up.
Over the past few days, cranes have begun lifting large sections of the steel frames into place as work at Aurora Stockport gathers momentum and begins to take shape, giving a real glimpse of the transformation taking place.

When completed next year, a modern, thriving 145,000 sq ft industrial park area comprising 10 light industrial units will have been created. Located alongside junction 1 of the M60, Aurora Stockport will give companies the opportunity to run their business from new premises in one of the best connected locations in the North West.
With units ranging from 8,700 sq ft to 47,000 sq ft the opportunities Aurora Stockport offers are significant and a high level of interest has already been received from local businesses.
The new £12 million development is part of the £1 billion Investing in Stockport programme underway across Stockport that will see the town build on its strengths and become even more successful.
Councillor Kate Butler, Stockport Council’s Executive Member for Economy and Regeneration said:
“I’m really pleased to see the progress being made at Aurora Stockport. Stockport’s excellent location and first-class workforce mean there is always a high demand for quality industrial units locally. Aurora Stockport will meet this need and see new jobs and opportunities created for residents as businesses move into the industrial park.”
