Manchester based developer and property management firm, Northern Group, has announced its acquisition of Wienerberger House in Stockport’s Cheadle Royal Business Park.
Wienerberger House is a high-specification, Grade A, two-storey ‘L’ shaped office biilding, offering 78 on-site car parking spaces at the 70-acre business park off the A34 in Cheadle. Current occupiers of the building, German brick, tile and paving manufacturer, Wienerberger, will continue to operate their UK headquarters from the property.
Cheadle Royal Business Park, totalling 600,000 sq ft of commercial space, was originally developed by AMEC and is home to many well-established occupiers including David Lloyd Leisure, Premier Inn, CN Chartered Accountants, and Together in a location with exceptional connectivity close Stockport and Manchester Airport. The nearby area also includes retail anchors such as Sainsbury’s and John Lewis.
The acquisition of Wienerberger House at Cheadle Royal marks Northern Group’s fourth deal in just 12 months, expanding the business’ portfolio into the Stockport and Cheshire regions.
Other recent acquisitions include the DKNY building at 76 King Street and 19 Spring Gardens in Manchester city centre, as well as the Sir William Siemens House in Didsbury. The developer is also behind a number of schemes in Ancoats, including One Silk Street, Ice Plant, and Jactin House.
