Stockport-headquartered C&C Insurance Brokers have celebrated the doors opening at the firm’s eighth UK location in Bristol.
The office is headed up by Mark Boyd, who is joined by his wife Trudy, who both have extensive experience in the transport, haulage and logistics insurance sector.
Having been the Bristol Branch Director at PIB for over three years and at Lorica prior to being taken over, as well as Towergate, Mark has a solid understanding of the Bristol insurance broker scene. And even though only just launching the C&C Bristol presence, Mark and Trudy have hit the ground running and are already reaching out to new clients.
Tom O’Connell, Branch Director at C&C Leeds, was instrumental in developing the concept of the Bristol office and getting it over the line. His experience of setting up the Leeds office from scratch over five years ago was invaluable in understanding what is needed to succeed at a new site and the kind of people best placed to achieve it. Tom said:
“I’m really excited for Mark and Trudy and what the future holds for C&C Bristol. Having grown our Leeds business to where it is, I know just how rewarding it feels to see the fruits of your labour develop into a thriving brokerage. There’s a lot of teamwork involved and the Bristol office can look forward to support from everyone across the wider C&C group.”
C&C Insurance Brokers Managing Director, Malcolm Cooke said:
“We’re all delighted to have Mark and Trudy join the C&C team and to be waving the banner for us in Bristol. Their transport and haulage experience is second to none and their understanding of the Bristol and Southwest haulage sector is outstanding. It’s a real privilege to have them on board and they can look forward to support from our Stockport and Leeds offices, and indeed, the entire C&C family! I’d also like to thank Tom O’Connell for all of his time, insight, and energy in making this vision become a reality.”
C&C Bristol Branch Director, Mark Boyd commented:
“Trudy and I are really excited about the prospect of heading up C&C Bristol. C&C’s reputation in the transport and haulage sector is enviable their profile was a perfect fit for the kind of company we were looking to work with: fiercely independent and totally client-centric. What really stood out for us though was the lack of white-noise in decision making. Communication is swift and productive – it’s an incredibly empowering culture at C&C and we’re really looking forward to growing the name throughout the Southwest.”
The new office opening is hot on the heels of the recently launched Sports Division, and is reflective of the brokers’ continued appetite for growing the business by providing employees with what they want: the opportunity to work for a nimble, entrepreneurial broker with the freedom to get what is the best solution and protection for the client.
