
The Claims team at Stockport-based insurance brokers, C&C, scooped the Broker of the Year prize at the Modern Claims Awards (MCAs) at a ceremony on 26th February at the Rum Warehouse in Liverpool.
The Modern Claims Awards, organised by Modern Insurance Magazine, celebrate excellence across the entire claims ecosystem and with fierce competition and a huge number of high-quality entries, making it to the final three is no small feat.
Broker of the Year is always a hotly contested category, so coming away with this recognition is a fantastic achievement for the C&C Claims Team, which was represented at the awards by a 13-strong contingent who needed an especially large table to accommodate them.
Malcolm Cooke, MD of C&C; Steve Lockey, Claims Director; and Joe Fay, Claims Manager, took to the stage to be presented the award in front of around 300 people from the evening’s host, impressionist Rory Bremner.

C&C considers its Claims team to be among the broker’s biggest assets, and regularly receives praise from clients for the tenacity of the team. Clients note how the team champions and challenges on their behalf, and provide a personalised service at what can be an incredibly stressful time, when industry consolidation is seeing many competitors moving to call centres, chatbots and claims portals.
