Following Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s announcement that England is to re-enter ‘lockdown’ restrictions from Thursday 5th November, the GC Business Growth Hub has updated its coronavirus microsite.
The coronavirus microsite provides details of the businesses that will be subject to closures and restrictions under the new rules, as well as social contact restrictions and guidance on attending work and travel.
Lockdown restrictions will run from 5th November until the 2nd December, subject to review, when the regional Tier system will be put back into place. The local tier system restrictions will continue to apply until they are superseded on Thursday.
The Business Growth Hub’s coronavirus microsite will continue to be updated as new financial support and other measures are announced to help Greater Manchester companies through lockdown.
The Business Growth Hub has also launched a new communication pack to signpost guidance on social media for businesses preparing for the lockdown measures. The pack will help to signpost detail of the restrictions to affected businesses. Guidance includes information on the extension to the furlough scheme and what fully-funded support is available through the hub.
The communication pack also includes messaging from Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) regarding public transport use during the one-month lockdown and how to travel safely.
