
Stockport Homes’ Customer Finance Team have been named Team of the Year at the 2025 Northern Housing Awards.
The team was recognised for colleagues’ commitment to supporting customers through financial challenges. At an awards ceremony at Emirates Old Trafford on 1st May, the team were commended for their customer-centred approach, establishing themselves as sector leaders in collection and money advice outcomes.
Their supportive approach to income collection led to their selection as a model landlord for the research project ‘Holding on to a Home’, where they were included in an industry recognised guide to help other social landlords improve their tenancy sustainment practices. The team has also pioneered digital solutions to help increase their capacity, and collaborated with Stockport Council to support them to deliver critical emergency crisis support for residents.

Elsewhere in the business, Stockport Homes Group has also received a RoSPA Gold Award for their seventh year running for its commitment to health and safety.
Widely regarded as the ultimate benchmark of safety excellence, the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards are internationally recognised accolades that honour organisations, teams, and projects across all sectors for their dedication to safeguarding lives.
