Young businesses booming in Stockport

Young businesses are booming in Stockport as three are shortlisted as the most promising in the 2016 Stockport Business Awards.

The awards, organised by local accountancy practice Clarke Nicklin, are now celebrating their 5th year and each October they recognise the boroughs best businesses.

The Most Promising Young Business category is sponsored by Clarke Nicklin Financial Planning and the shortlisted companies are: AAI Global, Analysis Legal and Distology.

AAI Global was formed in 2015 by three individuals with a combined experience of over 60 years in the freight forwarding industry. The business specialises in providing logistical services inducing ocean freight, air freight and European road & courier alongside 3^rd and 4^th party logistics. Their philosophy is to put the ‘human’ element back into logistics, giving clients a bespoke, personal service which is tailored to them, as opposed to an online service that can sometimes be inaccurate and out of date.

Analysis Legal is a specialist employment law firm, based in Bramhall, set up by Anna Lees and Andrea Paxton in March 2015.  Analysis Legal advise businesses and individual clients from all over the UK on all aspects of employment law. Over the last year, this boutique firm has grown to comprise a total of seven experienced employment law solicitors and various support staff. They have exceeded initial and revised targets for turnover and have enjoyed phenomenal growth in relation to size and reputation.

Distology is an IT Security distributer based in Regent House. The business has grown from 2 to 9 people within a year, and turnover has increased six fold in the same time under the leadership of MD Hayley Roberts.
Distology works by running technical due diligence on new and existing software to the UK, in order to promote them to the reseller base, who then sells it on to their end user clients. These clients range from public sector bodies to FTSE 500 companies and corporates.

The winner will be announced at the ceremony which takes place on 13^th October at Stockport Town Hall.
