Woodley residents are being urged to have their say on the proposed move of Woodley Post Office as the Post Office has launched a 6 week local consultation.
Users of Woodley Post Office can feed their opinions on the proposed move that will take the Post Office just 25 metres away from where it is now, remaining on Woodley Precinct.
The scheme is part of a £640 million Coalition Government programme to complete modernisation of Post Office branches country-wide by 2018.
The Woodley consultation opened on 14th February and ends on 28th March, with the move proposed to happen in May 2014. It is part of the Post Office’s modernisation programme and will offer users longer opening hours and improved accessibility, in newly refurbished premises. The products and services it offers will not change.
Meanwhile, Romiley Post Office is set to relocate to Prayosha Newsagents, 17 The Precinct, Romiley and will open there at 13:00 on Thursday 27th March.
