Stockport based Windmill Tapes & Labels have confirmed their premiership status within the food packaging industry after being awarded the prestigious BRC IoP Hygiene and Quality standard with a flawless A grade pass and no non-conformities!
This stringent standard enables Windmill to deal with major food producers who can be safe in the knowledge that Windmill’s products pass all the highest levels of hygiene and quality required to enable their labels to be applied to food packaging.
The BRC IoP assessor, Ian Shaw (ISA), explained that it was the first time that he had dealt with a business that managed no non-conformities, not even a minor!
MD Andrew Southern (left) said:-
‘’Having achieved this important standard of hygiene and quality at our label manufacturing site, we will be able to expand the business in key market areas as the packaging standard is seen as a prerequisite for doing business with BRC members. The major retailers who make up the British Retail Consortium (BRC) have always insisted on their suppliers having strict hygiene and quality controls in their food production processes.
“From an internal perspective we have always sought to achieve the highest standards across all aspects of our business; the BRC IoP standard is an external declaration to our customers and endorses our commitment to continue to provide the highest standards”.
