Williams’ chairperson Margaret Orton-Williams is personifying the firm’s family values and its tradition of wanting to share Christmas with all by baking and personally delivering mince pies for all 600 members of staff.
Every year Mrs Orton-Williams, daughter of the company’s founder, uses a secret family recipe to bake mince pies for employees. She starts baking the pies in July and has purchased a special freezer to store them.
She hands the mince pies to staff at all of Williams’ 10 BMW, Land Rover, MINI and BMW Motorcycle dealerships around the North West, taking time in each dealership to wish each member of staff a ‘Happy Christmas’ in person.
All Williams’ dealerships celebrate the festive season with showroom decorations and a custom-made nativity scene, complete with baby Jesus and the Three Wise Men.
Williams also celebrates the festive season by staging children’s Christmas parties for all the staff’s children and grandchildren to attend complete with a special visit from Father Christmas.
Management of the family-owned business also share the festive spirit with staff by serving them a three-course Christmas lunch.
Mark Remington, Dealership Principal at Williams Stockport said: “As a traditional family-run company, we have strong family values and are committed to keeping long-held traditions alive.
“Christmas is a very special time of the year and we want to bring the true meaning of Christmas to all of our staff and customers. This is reflected by Mrs Orton-Williams’ outstanding and devoted efforts to celebrate the festive season with the Williams’ family and their families in the traditional way.”
