From 5th to 9th October, Manchester Digital and Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) will run a week-long event to support people to switch careers into the digital and tech sectors.
Coinciding the winding down of the furlough scheme, the Switch to Digital Careers Week aims to share information and advice for those considering retraining or a career move. Daily events will take place online, bringing together individuals and businesses from across the sector.
Speakers for various events throughout the week come from leading businesses including Co-op Digital, Code Nation, Slalom, Microsoft and Zuhlke.
This event is suitable for people of all ages and from backgrounds who are interested in working in the digital and tech sector and places can be registered online.
A speed mentoring event will give attendees the opportunity to ask advice from people of all levels who are already working in the sector. In order for this event to go ahead on 9th October between 1.30pm and 2.30pm, Manchester Digital is asking for anyone currently working within the sector to take part, at all levels of experience. Mentors will have six minutes with each person to give enough time to match and meet as many people as possible, and can register their interest in taking part via this Google Form.
