We are Stockport has recently launched to showcase all that is great about Stockport, to celebrate the heroes and heroines and unearth the hidden gems.
Place Campaign Manager, Rachel Wallace, is delighted at the media interest We are Stockport is generating and at recent coverage in the Stockport Express.
She says: “We’ve had a fabulous start to the campaign, which launched nearly a month ago. Some great feedback and plenty of brilliant stories, facts and events have been coming through every day. We reached over 650 followers on Twitter which indicates the interest this campaign is generating.”
Rain didn’t deter the We are Stockport team at Headlander last weekend. Rachel and her team of volunteers aged from 7 upwards hosted the Trader’s Village, taking a stand outside the main marquee, catching many more stories from people who visited them.
Rachel adds a call to action: “We are Stockport is here for you so please feed it! Send me your stories, community news, events and photos, as well as details of your own information platforms. We’re here to support and signpost the fantastic work and services happening across our Borough! We want people to know about you, what you do and who you are trying to reach. Keep me in touch!”
