Walk-in Covid-19 vaccination appointments are available today (9th September) from a mobile vaccination van on St Peter’s Square in Stockport town centre, as well as other locations across the borough.
The mobile vaccination van will offer the Pfizer jab for 16-17 year olds, while first and second doses of both the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines will be available for those aged 18 and over. Second doses can be given if eight weeks (56 days) have passed since the first dose.
The van will be offering jabs with no appointment required between 10am to 3pm at St Peter’s Square; for directions, use postcode SK4 1AE.
To coincide with the return of schools and colleges after the summer break, vans will also be present at Aquinas College and Marple 6th Form College from 10am to 3pm today (9th September) and Stockport and Cheadle Colleges on the 10th September.
On Friday 10th September, a mobile vaccination van will also be present at Adswood Community Centre.
Stockport also has a number of community pharmacies offering walk-in and bookable appointments; to view the full range of options across the borough, visit the NHS Stockport CCG website. Appointments are also available through the National Booking Website at nearby large-scale vaccination centres in Manchester and Cheshire.
