Stockport Gin have announced a return of their virtual tasting nights, with money raised from the September event going to support local charity, Millie’s Trust.
During lockdown in April, May and June, Stockport Gin founders, Paul and Cheryl Sharrocks (pictured), hosted a series of virtual tasting nights online, via Facebook. Packs were sold online, featuring three gins, three tonics garnishes and a personal invite to the event’s Facebook group to take part in the live event. Cheryl said:
We initially thought we would hold a virtual taster night to give us something to do, as well as others, whilst we were all in lockdown. Once we did one and word got out, we were inundated with requests to do more so we ended up doing them every fortnight! In the end we hosted our events to well over 1000 people!”
On Friday 25th September, Stockport Gin are once again hosting another Virtual Taster Night from their front room. This month’s virtual tasting session will feature 4 gins, including the recently launched Pink Grapefruit and Pink Peppercorn gin. A donation from each ticket sold will be sent to Millie’s Trust, a local Stockport charity who specialise in providing training for paediatric care and first aid. Paul said:
This time last year we partnered with Millie’s Trust with the aim of raising as much money as we could for them over the following 12 months. With that partnership now coming to an end, we put our heads together and came up with the idea of hosting another taster night that could raise them some more money and to celebrate the year we have had together.”
Tickets for the event are priced at £30 each and includes 4 x 50 ml gins from the Stockport Gin range, 4 tonics, the evening’s entertainment live on Facebook and £5 from each ticket sold will be donated to Millie’s Trust.
Tickets are available now from the Stockport Gin website.
