The Virgin Media Business VOOM Bus is heading straight to Manchester to help budding North West entrepreneurs reach their full potential.

The Virgin Media Business VOOM bus will make stops in Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Hampshire, Glasgow and Dundee before the end of the year – and then in Edinburgh in January 2018.

Stockport businesses can be one of the first to catch the tour bus as it arrives in Manchester on September 6th and 7th, where the big red bus will be in Exchange Square from 10am to 5pm

The bus will host one-to-one business advice for the region’s entrepreneurs from experts including ICAEW, JCDecaux, LinkedIn and Crowdfunder.

There will also be the chance to catch up with previous VOOM finalists – at the Manchester stop Luke Massie, founder of Lancashire based Vibe Tickets will be joining a panel discussion.

Plus, business owners could take home £5,000 and an invitation to brunch with Richard Branson in the live pitching competition. Sign up before August 30th to be in with a chance of pitching.

Research from Virgin Media Business shows that a third of North Westerners think that they have had a great idea for a new business – but 62 per cent of this group have failed to capitalise on that and turn it into a reality. The top reasons for not doing anything about their business ideas were: not having any idea about how to start, not knowing where to get funding, and not having the confidence in securing money to get off the ground.
