
Village Point in Heaton Moor is being revamped at a cost of over £250,000 and will include business and function facilities
A new arts and business hub is to open in Heaton Moor. Village Point will be in the revamped Moor Suite after a £250,000 overhaul.
Work is currently in full swing to restore the building’s interior to its former 19th century grandeur.
The venture is being backed by father-and-son investment team Stephen and Liam Dillon.
The project will transform this architectural gem into a facility for the local community, providing The Heatons with an outstanding and unique space for both leisure and business use.
Village Point will offer everything from a stunning ballroom for weddings and private dining to an inspiring and affordable workspace for business people.
Village Point will comprise of three separate spaces for business and leisure – the 200-person capacity ballroom, The Lodge which will hold smaller events for up to 80 people, and The Hub for freelancers, students and businesspeople will provide each member with a desk, 27” LCD flatscreen, business-class WiFi, full mailing address, and a locker to store items such as laptops and documents.
There will also be regular business talks and networking events taking place at the venue for local business people to widen their networks.

“Our aim for Village Point is not only to revitalise a great building, but to also bring an outstanding space for events and business right into the centre of local life.

Village Point is due to open in spring 2015.
