Viaduct Housing Partnership has officially opened its largest development to date; Charles Street and Carrington Field St.
The event had a fantastic turn out with neighbours, Councillors, Board Members, staff and partners invited to celebrate the official opening of the two developments which together comprise 171 properties.
Guests were welcomed by a vintage bus and a cream tea, and had the chance to have a tour of the new builds.
The developments include a mix of two and three bedroom homes for affordable rent and shared ownership. All properties have now been sold or let.
Councillor Sheila Bailey, cabinet member for communities & housing at Stockport Council said,
“It was fantastic to meet some of the residents that have moved into this development and to hear about how settled they are in their new homes. Viaduct Housing Partnership was created to provide affordable houses for residents and to see this development doing so well is a testament to all the hard work that everyone has done.”
Chair of the Viaduct Housing Partnership board Ken Lee said,
“Congratulations to everyone involved in the Charles Street and Carrington Field development, I am extremely proud of Viaduct Housing Partnership and I am excited for what the future holds.”
