Stockport’s Vernon Building Society has raised over £1,500 for local causes with their 2015 ‘Celebrating Stockport’ calendar.
The calendar features photographs of local landmarks in Stockport chosen from over 250 entries to the Vernon’s photography competition last year. Sold through the Vernon’s branches, all proceeds from calendar sales went to the Society’s Jubilee Fund which supports local charity and community groups.
Head of Sales and Marketing at the Vernon, Ian Keeling, said:
“The feedback we’ve had for the calendar has been great – one customer donated £100 for just one and we’ve been asked to send copies around the country. We couldn’t have done this without the photographers and we are extremely grateful that they allowed us to use their amazing work free of charge.”
