Staff at Vernon Building Society will be celebrating the silver anniversary of their branch at 19 St Petersgate on 1st November 2013. This special day will feature complimentary refreshments, facts about 1988 and some interesting Society history.

The winners of the Society’s raffle in support of
local causes will also be drawn with over 20
prizes up for grabs, all kindly donated by local
businesses.
The Society’s mascot Vernon Bear will be in
attendance giving out special goody bags to
younger attendees of the celebration.
Chief Executive of the Vernon, Mike Hanson, said:
“We’re celebrating our 90th year as a building society in 2014 and have always had a presence in Stockport town centre, the last 25 years of which have been at 19 St Petersgate. We’re really looking forward to welcoming customers and non-customers alike to our silver celebration.”
