Stockport’s Vernon Building Society have unveiled their new and improved moneybox for young savers. The moneyboxes have been custom made to “bear” much more of a resemblance to the Society’s well known and much loved mascot Vernon Bear.
Head of Sales and Marketing, Ian Keeling, said: “We wanted to develop something that reflected our mascot much more obviously. We think that this new design captures Vernon Bear perfectly and it will hopefully encourage more young customers to get into the savings habit.”

All new account holders under 16 will receive a new Vernon Bear moneybox when they open a Sure Start account at any of Vernon Building Society’s local branches around Stockport. For those who don’t have a Sure Start account, the new Vernon Bear moneyboxes are also available to buy in any Vernon branch for just £3.
