The upcoming meeting of the South Manchester Financial & Professional Network, due to take place on September 22nd has been postponed until Thursday 1st December 2022.
The Deputy Agent for the Bank of England in the North West, Ken Clark, had been due to speak at the event to discuss the bank’s August Monetary Policy Report. However, in light of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the the Monetary Policy Commission’s quiet period has been extended due to the period of national mourning, and as a result, Mr Clark is unfortunately no longer able to speak at the event.
The networking event for businesses from Stockport’s financial and professional services sector has therefore been rearranged to Thursday 1st December. Taking place from 8am to 10am at the Deanwater Hotel in Woodford, the agenda for the event remains the same: network chair, Chris Booth will welcome attendees and introduce the event. There will also be an opportunity to network and collaborate with other representatives from the sector.
Established and managed by Stockport Council and supported by Stockport Economic Alliance, the South Manchester Finance and Professional Network is an interactive forum to encourage education, innovation and collaboration across the sector. Organisers extend their apologies for the change of date; for any questions, and to book a place on the new date, contact Stockport Council’s economy team.
