Trust brand communication company’s managing director Stuart Bradley smashed his target time at yesterday’s London Marathon finishing in under 3.5 hours!
Stuart set his own personal target of three and a half hours and beat it by crossing the finishing line in 3 hours, 27 minutes and 17 seconds!
This was Stuart’s first full marathon which he took on to raise funds for fellow Marketing Stockport member Together Trust who he met last year at one of the group’s monthly meetings.
Stuart was moved by the Together Trust’s work whose not-for-profit services include a range of care, community and special education services for people with behavioural challenges, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, complex health needs and autism.
The Together Trust was originally founded as the Manchester and Salford Boys’ and Girls’ Refuges and Homes in 1870 by Leonard Kilbee Shaw and Richard Bramwell Taylor, who were Sunday school teachers at St Ann’s Church, Manchester. They were inspired to take action to help the many children and young people whom they saw living rough on the city’s streets.
Ahead of the race Stuart said:
“The Together Trust do amazing work and you can find out more about their efforts at www.togethertrust.org.uk
“I’m aiming to complete my FIRST 26 mile marathon in under 3hrs and 30mins. I hope you can support me in this ambitious aim. Maybe you can incentivise me with a bonus donation if I beat my target?!?”
Congratulations Stuart, Stockport is proud of you!
